Description: The Xchange is a Friday night youth ministry. Teens come to The Xchange with their disappointments, brokenness, pain and mess. Through the use of dramatic and performing arts they are given the chance to honestly and creatively tell their stories. It’s when this brutal honesty and God’s spirit meet that there is a miraculous exchange described in Isaiah 61:1-3.

Cost: $5/day (Full scholarships are available through New City and the Urban League)
Who: Children 1st-8th grade.

Description: New City Kids works to open the NY waterways to the teens who live here. Teens learn how to sail and in the process gain cultural exposure, learn valuable teamwork skills and enjoy the amazing natural resources that are right here Jersey City.

When: Monday through Friday from 9am-1pm, July 2008.
Cost: Free ($5 registration fee)
Who: Kids grades 1-8th (the first 70 to apply)

When: Monday-Fridays after school and summer opportunities
Cost: Free - we follow standard compensation laws applying to compensating teens.
Who: Any Jersey City Teen, ages 14-18, may apply and be considered for a position.
Description: Our objective is to train teenagers to be leaders in the workplace through the use of extensive mentoring, ongoing training, performance reviews and advancement opportunities. As a result, teen employees experience personal development in five areas: academic development, cultural exposure, leadership training, job skills and spiritual development.
