Teen Life Internship Assistant Director
Daymiris joined New City in the Fall of 2010 as the Teen Life Internship Assistant Director. Just a few months out of Tufts University, she seeks to put her B.A. in Psychology to use by working with children and teens from low-income communities, and New City Kids provides the perfect environment in which to do that.
Having mostly worked with young children, Daymiris is eager to venture into serving teens by mentoring and coaching them, developing their leadership abilities and life skills, and fostering their sense of self-worth. She plans on going to graduate school for either Social Work or Education and expects her experience at New City will give her insight into what degree to pursue. She is blessed to be a part of a life-changing ministry and is amazed at the way God works in the lives of the kids, the teens and the staff.
Daymiris lives in Clifton with her parents, younger brother and Jada the pitbull.
